We use SharePoint to store various files, and we have several mandatory metadata fields (Document Type, Origin, Department). However, users sometimes forget to fill them in, making file organization more difficult.
We would like to know if it is possible to use Microsoft AI to automate this process. The idea would be:
- When a file is uploaded to SharePoint, a flow (Power Automate?) detects the new file.
- An AI analyzes the file's content to determine its type and origin (e.g., a file containing the word "invoice" would be automatically classified as "Invoice - Delivery Note").
- The file's metadata is updated in SharePoint based on the AI's analysis.
We have heard about solutions like Azure AI (Form Recognizer, OpenAI), Microsoft Syntex, or other AI models that can be integrated with Power Automate. What would be the best approach to automate this task? Do you have any recommendations or examples for implementation?
