Need help with automatically assigning tickets from list of agents

Good day everyone,

I'm new here, and it's a pleasure to meet you all. Recently, I've been tasked with automating our ticket creation process using Power Automate. While following a YouTube tutorial, I found it quite helpful, but unfortunately, some crucial steps were skipped to save time. Now, I'm facing a roadblock as I can't find other tutorials providing the step-by-step instructions I need. Apologies for the lengthy context! 😊

To get to the point, I've set up the basic structure of the flow in Power Automate. My goal now is to automatically assign agent names to tickets created in Planner whenever a form is submitted. These agent names are listed in the form, and what I aim to achieve is that when a client selects an agent's name in the form, the ticket is created in Planner and assigned to that specific agent. Could someone please assist me in setting up the necessary conditions/flow for this? Thank you so much in advance.

@Geronimo2000 To assign a user to a task in Planner you need the agents email address. Reference this section of my YT Tutorial: ️Automate Microsoft Planner Tasks: Create Tasks from SharePoint & Excel in Minutes

In the full tutorial I'll cover how to build a flow that will:
️ Create a task in Planner for each of your SharePoint list items

️ Create a flow that will trigger each time a new SharePoint list item is created

️ Create a tasks in Planner from an Excel Table

️ Add a description to your tasks

Since you are using a MS Form, I would recommend creating an email key based on a selection from your MS Form. I cover how to do that in this section of my YT Tutorial: How to Get Microsoft Form File Uploads Attached to an Email 📧

In this Microsoft Power Automate Tutorial I’m going to cover where file uploads from your Microsoft Forms are saved. I’ll also show you how attach the uploaded files to an email and how to dynamically name the files and customize the recipient of the email based on the selections made in your Microsoft Form. I will also cover how to handle responses that don’t include any file uploads.

Hi @creativeopinion ,Thank you so much, this will be helpful. I gotta say I'm a complete noob, and my question might be stupid. I'm following the instructions in the video very closely, but this 'value' (see image enclosed) entered was not explained. Could you please provide me more guidance there? Thank you so much again.

@Geronimo2000 No worries. the value dynamic content from the Get Items action returns the array of items. Tip: Take a look at the text below the name of the dynamic content. It can be helpful at times. Other times it may cause confusion.

There are a few actions that always return body and value and when you want to loop through your items—you'll need to use the value dynamic contetnt.
