I need to be able to automatically save emails to a folder

I do not need to save an email attachment and I do not want to save an email as an eml file

I need to save an outlook email in a onedrive folder or desktop folder and then easily be able to open it as an email msg from that folder.  I know you can drag and drop and email into a folder.  I need this to happen automatically as soon as an email comes into our shared mailbox.

I do not have access to any kind of 3rd party converter so the Export email is not working for me.

Hi @Anonymous , thank you for your post.

Can I clarify your request please?

Is it an HTML file you want saving from the body of the email or is it the actual email you want to save?

I had created an HTML option saving to the file system, it requires the on premises data gateway setting up but once you have that, you can do the below:Capture-249.png

Regards the format if it were to be the email you want to save to either the file system or I'd say preferably in the cloud at say SharePoint or OneDrive.

This would be achieved with an .eml file, that is the message format when saved.

For a shared mailbox, you would just use the "When an email arrives in a shared mailbox" action.

Here is a working example of saving the email to a cloud location.Capture-250.png

Thank you!  That worked but when I got to open in the email, it just comes up blank with the  incorrect date on it.

    Hi @Anonymous

    Make sure your body is:

    body('Export_email')

In terms of the date, I am not sure why, or where you are generating it from but if you post the data from teh successful run. Expand the connecter and take images of the output I can maybe see why.

    Hi @AlanPs1

Just aiming for your advisement as I have been having troubles on replicating your suggestions, specifically the ones where emails are saved on cloud drives. I'm able to automate the generation of the file upon receipt of the email, however yields to empty files with no contents at all:

And here's what I have on Power Automate:
