How to know when to use the actions Compose, filter array, select

All, 

 


I don’t have a specific flow question. Is there a reference document that explains the proper usage of the following actions. When to use which action? I feel is confusing a bit too decide. They seem to be working one for the other.

Compose

 

Can any one here point me to a blog or help that can demonstrate difference between them.
