Hello Experts,
I have created one canvas app with SharePoint as a backend, will this work if I want to publish it to App source market place?
If not then what is the preferred data source for publishing the App.
Appreciate your assistance.

Dataverse could be the data source of Canvas App if App makers are familiar with working on it. But actually there is no "preferred" data source for Power Apps Canvas Apps. You could also find various Apps created using various data sources.
