Build an Account Manager page for a portal

Hi All

We have a requirement to build an account manager page for our portal. When a user logs in we want to have a page available which displays details of the owner of the account to which the user belongs. This data will include such items as the owners photo, name, mobile number etc. What are the options available to achieve this? For example can we use fetchxml to retrieve the data?

Regards

    Hi @paulinolan

    Yes, you are right.

    1. FetchXML is one of the choices where you can gather the user details along with the web template.

    2. Use Portal web API to retrieve advanced metadata - including photo display

    Use Power Automate if required to mix and match the solution. There is a native integration coming to the Power Pages. Look for the updates

    Hope it helps.

    Hi ragavanrajan

    Thanks for the reply.

    We have gone with FetchXML and using it with liquid. We are retrieving the data from the systemuser table and all the attributes we are requesting are being returned except for one. The photourl is coming back as blank even though the user has a photo. We can see it when viewing the owner of the account in dynamics. Is there another attribute I need for the photo?

    Update regarding the photo. It's held in the systemuser table in the entityimage_url column. Just handle it as an image on the page

    <img id="userimage"
        src="{{ userquery.results.entities[0].entityimage_url }}"
        onerror="this.onerror=null; this.remove();"
    />
