Help Needed: Automating Microsoft Teams to OneNote Flow with Emoji Reactions

Hello everyone,

I'm looking for assistance in creating a new flow, and as a novice, I truly appreciate any help you can offer!

I want to set up a flow that automatically saves Microsoft Teams channel or group chat messages to a predefined section in a OneNote notebook whenever I react to a message with a '🔖' bookmark or '📍' pin emoji. My job involves a lot of research, and this feature would be incredibly helpful for organizing important information.

Thank you in advance for your support!

    Hi,

There is no direct trigger to do this- one workaround is -

    1. Run a scheduled flow
    2. Get messages from channel
    3. for each message, get its details and lookup whether the same has been already added in onenote, if not, check its reactions and if the above reactions you think is included, just add the details of message to OnNote.

Other way would be once message details are added, make the flow to put a reaction on same message such as like reaction by which next time when you captures the message details, you can skip those messages having such reactions :)

    Thanks & Regards,

    Hey

From what I can figure out, there aren't any specific triggers on reactions, so I believe the solution would require that you use the trigger "When a new message is added to a channel", and then you subsequently analyze the content of the messages using "Get message details" and then set up conditions to check for those two emojis. Not sure if it's the smartest approach - maybe someone else has a better idea.

    Best regards
