MS Forms Choice Field to SharePoint List Decision Pill using Power Automate

Hi Team,

I created a form in MS Forms and I've figured out how to pass pretty much all the information over to a SharePoint / MS List, except for a single picklist.

I'm looking to fill the decision of a single (not multi) picklist dropdown to populate a decision pill option in SharePoint Lists.

I've been able to work the logic using a multi selection but can't figure out how the single works??

Please and Thank you!

You can easily format the column in SharePoint to "Text" and it will receive the decision from MS Forms.

Doing this breaks any manual input being a dropdown choice.

    Hi @Oatman2000 ,

I have a test Form with a choice question:

and a Choice column which includes the same options as the choice question of the Form:

In the flow, I use the custom value from outputs of the get response details action:

I submitted the Form and got the new item inserted in the list correctly:

    Hope this helps.

Thanks for this! It did work, however now in SharePoint it's showing as a decision pill but missing the color.

When I click into it... I receive a color choice and it will fix, but I manually have to do this each time.

    Hi @Oatman2000 ,

The newly added custom values for choice column will be without color, it's by design in SharePoint list.

    Hope this helps.

Medium is one of the 3 choices in the column.

It's not like it's a type in field.

When I go to investigate it in edit mode it changed over to the correct color.

    Feels like a bug.

You also can map choice fields from Microsoft Forms to SharePoint lists using Power Automate. Here’s a detailed guide on how to do it: Connect Microsoft Forms to SharePoint List.
