Power Automate not recognizing email attachments

I have been having issues with creating a workflow that saves email attachments from emails in a specific outlook folder and uploading these attachments to a SharePoint site. Usually it will upload the file but it will be corrupted / the contents will show as null or alternatively the flow won't work because attachmentcontent is "Null". The emails have excel attachments.

I built this workflow to see if Power Automate was recognizing the email attachments and it seems it doesn't.

Please see screenshots below for a flow that sends me an email if it doesn't recognize that there is an attachment in the email, does anyone know if there is a fix for this?

    Hi @AM12 ,

Is your problem that saved email attachments cannot be opened?

Could you please show the setting of flow about saving attachments?

    Best regards,

    Rimmon

Hi Rimmon, thank you for replying.

The email attachments are saving to the Sharepoint site however I get the below error when I open.

Is this what you mean when you say you want to see the flow settings? Screenshots below

    Hi @AM12 ,

Since I can't see the specific settings of your Create file, I'm not sure if you're using the correct parameters, here's an easy way on how to save mail attachments. You can refer to the settings in this method to check the file name format and file content in the Create file.

I clicked on this topic as I am having the same issue. I have tried this workflow and have a similar error - that the files download but can't be opened.

I tried the 'get attachments' then 'create file' route, and also the base64tobinary function but that didn't work either. Really strange. Here is my post for info: Saving email attachment from shared mailbox - file... - Power Platform Community (microsoft.com)

Hoping you can suggest another fix for both of us (and anyone else having the same problem)!
