How To Trigger A Power Automate Flow From Power Pages

Hi,

I want to trigger A power automate flow on click of a button in power pages. I think we can do this in Powerapps as shown in the guide here https://www.c-sharpcorner.com/article/how-to-trigger-a-power-automate-flow-from-powerapps/.

Is it possible to do a similar thing from Power Pages?

    Hi @bssienes

You will want to create a button on the Power Page, and have some code to do a HTTP call.

In power automate you can use the Request trigger to get the URL path to call the flow.

    Hi @Jcook

Thanks for your suggestion. I am just wondering what happens if my portal is used by different customers. Anyone who installs it will have to modify the URL in their code?

Correct me if I am wrong, but I think when they have my solution deployed into their environment, they have to call their own power automate flow hence their HTTP trigger must have a unique URL, and the same URL must be copied into the code.

I am trying to find a way to do this most efficiently.

Is there a way to do this without requiring other users of this portal to modify the code?

You could use an Environment Variable to store the URL. (Could also use a custom configuration table in Dataverse).

Than in your button code, you would just point the URL to the environment variable.

    Thanks @Jcook

Do you know if we can automate this? I don't want to go to each power Automate flow, copy the URL and change it in the configuration table one by one for each button I have on my page. I may have many buttons.
