Power platform to logic app connectivity using private endpoint

Hi,

We have deployed Power App and integrated with VNET in Azure and are trying to connect the power apps to logic app (standard SKU) using the private endpoint on the logic app. Both the power app subnet and the logic app's private endpoint subnet are on the same vnet (2 separate subnets on same vnet). But the connectivity is not working. Same story with power apps to storge account connectivity using private endpoint on the storage account.

Any advise would be appreciated.

Thanks.

Regards,

Take a look at this post to see if it helps:

I did post your question to ChatGPT and this is what it replied (which makes sense for what you are seeing):

    • Although the Logic App’s Private Endpoint is in the same VNet/subnet, the traffic origin (Power Apps) may still be coming from public networks or a network path that does not traverse the Private Endpoint. If Power Apps is SaaS-hosted (which it is) then unless you’ve configured network injection for the environment, it will not appear inside your VNet.
    • The Private Endpoint is for inbound traffic to the Logic App. But if Power Apps makes a call through the public endpoint, or its network origin is outside the VNet, the Private Endpoint may not be used, and you may get connectivity issues (e.g., 403/forbidden).
    • Network routing / NSG / subnet delegation issues: The subnet used for the Private Endpoint must be correctly configured (no conflicting delegations) and network security groups/firewalls must allow the inbound traffic from the VNet. The docs emphasise that the Private Endpoint uses a private IP in the VNet. Microsoft Learn
    • DNS / resolution: If the Logic App’s endpoint is resolved to its public IP (rather than the private link endpoint) then traffic will go out to public network, which defeats the private connectivity expectation.
    • The Power Platform environment may not be using the “network injected” VNet, i.e., the environment is not configured to be in your VNet or using the VNet’s routing boundaries. So it cannot directly hit the Private Endpoint.
    • If the storage account Private Endpoint similarly fails, that suggests a general issue of how SaaS origin (Power Apps) accesses Private Endpoint resources, rather than a resource-specific misconfiguration.
Things that I noted when looking at this,
    1) How is your Logic App configured? Is it on the Standard Plan? vs Consumption? As VNet integration is not available in Consumption.

    2) What is the network origin being detected from the Power App?

    3) Are you able to create a Power Automate flow that calls the Logic App End Point? Though not ideal, can you call the Power Automate flow from the Power App to reach the Logic App.
