Hello,

I am trying to send an auto reminder via Automate using an existing MS List.

I have multiple columns with type 'Person or group'. E.G. screenshot below.

Screenshot_20240620_103455.png

I am able to get Automate to work, with 'Assigned to Email' in any of the fields 'To' or 'CC' or 'body message'.

When i input 'Senior clinician 2' or 'Senior Clinician' in 'To' or 'CC' it doesn't appears or shows null.

When i manually input the email address in 'cc' field, it works. However i need to be able to also 'cc' the senior clincian in the email as each case could be a different person.

I am not sure what i am doing wrong, but if you could shed some light it would be great!

    Hi @ziggy9999 ,

Perhaps the issue lies in the nested loops. Not sure why you have those in there, but can you please elaborate a bit there?

    Hello @BCBuizer ,

Apologies if this wasn't clear enough, hopefully below description clarifies alot and you are able to assist.

I wanted to create an email reminder for 7/14days before column name BSPlan Expiry date.

See below screenshot, how MS SharePoint List is setup.

Columns that are 'Person or Group' are boxed in red below.

    Referring to below screenshot, when sending the reminder email, the format i wanted is;

    - 'Assigned To' person is in the 'To' field in the email

    - 'Senior Clinician' and 'Next person to action' needs to be cc'ed in it

I have confirmed that 'Assigned To' field is working fine with using the dynamic control 'Assigned To Email'.

When inputting 'Senior Clinician Email' or 'Senior clinician 2 email' or 'Next Person to Action' in 'TO' or 'CC' field it doesn't show anything.

    • In addition, when i put the dynamic controls in the body, when email is sent, the fields are blank for 'Senior Clinician Email' or 'Senior clinician 2 email' or 'Next Person to Action'

In regards to the nested loops you've mentioned. The nested loop was not shown when the below screenshot was created. When add an action 'Send an email (V2)' and inputting the 'To' field that the For each appears automatically.

    HI @ziggy9999 ,

I see you have quite some blanks in your data for the columns that are giving you issues. Are you sure that for your test items these columns are populated?

    Hello @BCBuizer ,

Yes all the columns are populated. The powerautomate flow is only extracting data from type: 'Person or Group'.
