Automate File Upload from Sharepoint to report on Excel sheet

I'm attempting to build a work flow that will make some mundane task automate. Currently I upload files to a folder in my Sharepoint, and then must update an excel sheet with details from my naming convention of the newly uploaded file. I do this for sometimes 50-60 excel files.

What I'd like to create is a flow that will update my excel sheet as soon as I drop the new file in the folder.

OR

If I drop a new file (or remove a file) in that folder, then this will trigger an update on a Power Bi dashboard (which I have not created yet).

Any advice or help on the best flow in this situation?

    Hi @teacher_

For triggering a flow , when a file is added in the sharepoint, use the below trigger

For updating the excel using the trigger data, you can use excel actions under power automate

For updating power BI dashboard [ I think you are asking how to update dataset when new dataset is added in sharepoint], use the power BI actions as below

    Hi @teacher_ ,

To me, it looks like a double-up.

What do you need excel for when you can build a Power BI dashboard straight from the SharePoint library?

Create a report quickly from a SharePoint list or library in the Power BI service - Power BI | Microsoft Learn

When I go to my library, I am on my Macbook, there is no option. How can I set this up?
