Using Mircosoft form for Vistors.

Hello guys,

Ill give you a little back story - I work as Security for this big business and we currently have visitors come to this site to see certain people in the business. They normally send me a email to let me know that a visitors is coming on such day and what time.

The problem is, we have tons of visitors coming daily and it gets very confusing.

I was hoping to create a form so that ill be able to send out the link to the business and week by week they can input the data into the form and then the form automatically puts the data into my Microsoft Calendar so it creates like a schedule.

Is this possible to do?

I really don't know where to start or what even to do.

I would really appreciate the help

    Hi @SamTheMilkMan ,

    Thank you for your response,

In regards to your question, Kindly note the form link has been modified and it's not doing what you have stated,

I believe what you need to do for that is sort your branching logic, E.g If Yes it should navigate to Question 1, You can also add question 2 as the next location it could go to.

I have included a short video: Branching to aid in your request,

In regards to the automation, Once you sort your forms process.

    Morning,

    https://forms.office.com/Pages/ResponsePage.aspx?id=_jQO8ZSJUkun2k96qQaMoMNqDcxekoVLmt580omL7J1UQk1XSFFUTDhBVjRIVFYySzMwUTIxSDRLSS4u

    Ive attached the link above.

Basically I want it so when i click Yes on question 2 it pops up with number 4,5,6 but when i click no on question 2 i only want it to appear with 3,4,6.

I hope that makes sense. Also for question 5 is Please list the visitors am i able to enter a box that allows you to make multiple entries. So when you enter one name, a new box appears to you can enter a new one?

Sorry i really hope this makes sense with how im explaining!

    Hi @SamTheMilkMan ,

Yes it would populate your calendar, If you also go through the resources as well, I am sure you would see how to replicate that,

Your statement on the Form branching is not exactly Clear, can you rephrase that, and what exactly is it that you don't want shown.

Re: Using Mircosoft form for Vistors.

Sorry im a proper newbie at this, Never used forms before.

After this will it automatically export to Microsoft Calendar?

Im trying to use this branching feature on the form so my question im asking is  "Are there more than one Visitor Attending" got two choices "Yes" * "No", one option works fine but the other one lists all the other questions when i don't want it too.

    Hope this explains it

    Hi @SamTheMilkMan,

    I trust you are good.

    Yes that can be done.

Here is a step by step process you can do to achieve that,

    • Create your microsoft forms by opening a blank excel and clicking on insert forms, this allows your forms to be synced with your excel data, Though I know they have currently made updates which may eliminate the process, But it maybe best as I don't believe that update is currently working Smoothly for all.
    • List rows present in a table, This helps extracts the dynamic contents of the participants responses.
    • You can use create event action and inside the action place your dynamic content for the start and end date.

Kindly find below supporting contents by others in the community that could aid you with your request
