Trigger when Sharepoint Calendar (recurring) entry is due

I want to send automatic email notifications to the responsible person when a calendar entry is due in SharePoint. We have many recurring activities that are kept in a SharePoint calendar, with the automatic notifications we can improve the discipline to execute those actions. Please implement soon.
