Need confirmation for Automation Testing with Power Automate

Hello Community,

We are working on an eCommerce web application and were given a task to do a POC on Power Automate for Test Automation activities. I have gone through the Use Cases and Documentation online. I have understood that Power Automate can automate workflows, tasks, etc., but it does not validate a "Test Scenario/TestCase" and provide a result as "PASS or FAIL".

Could someone confirm if Power Automate can be used as a "Test Automation tool" instead of other tools such as "Selenium, Tosca, Playwright, etc."?
If yes, how can we achieve this? (Any documentation, Use Cases, Tutorials are highly appreciated!)

Thank you in advance.

Power Automate is primarily designed for task and workflow automation rather than dedicated test automation. While it can automate certain actions that might be part of an application's testing routine, it does not inherently provide testing capabilities like "PASS" or "FAIL" outcomes typical of test automation tools such as Selenium, Tosca, or Playwright. Two things I can think of are:
    1) You can use Power Automate to execute certain parts of an application workflow, mimicking user interactions.
    2) Automate the process of entering test data and performing repetitive tasks as part of a test scenario.

My recommendation would be to go for a proper testing tool.
