Hi, i'm an asolute beginner to using power automate and my first project is to replicate the conditional formatting feature in the outlook calendar in new outlook.

When a new calendar item is created or updated, i want the flow to search for specific words in the subject or body.

if the word is present then i want to assign a specific category. this is the only way (that i know) to colour the calendar item.

i have created a flow, but i keep getting an email message advising me that the flow has been throttled due to running too many times.

i would appreciate any suggestions to fix this.

Add a trigger condition under Settings - @contains(triggerBody()?['Subject'], 'specificWord')

Replace the "When an event is created or updated" trigger with a Recurrence trigger. Set it to run every 5 or 15 minutes, depending on your needs.

Filter events created or modified since the last run using - start/dateTime eq '@{utcNow()}'

Use the Condition action to check for specific words in the event's subject or body.  Left side: contains(triggerBody()?['Subject'], 'importantWord') Right side: true

let me know if you need more details, thanks

    thanks for your suggestions.
some of them made sense to me and others were a bit of a stretch.
    is this what you meant?
