PAD - "Retrieve email message from Outlook" does not work on internal emails

New to Power Automate and testing as a POC.   I'm unable to use "Retrieve email message from Outlook" to work with any internal users emails.  Believe I'm on the latest version of PAD: 2.37.123.23280.  Primarily testing with PAD, but this issue also occurs in cloud version as well.

If I use my own name in "From contains:" field, firstname.lastname@company.com, the flow completes with no emails are found and no errors are thrown.  If I lookup by "Subject contains:" and remove my email form From field it will retrieve emails.  Looking at the Flow variables, in the "Subject contains:" results has my SMTP email as firstname.lastname@company.com.

This issue only happens with users with @company.com.  Any external emails (i.e. microsoft.com, google.com, etc) work fine.  Any emails coming from alerting tools that use @company.com work fine.

Tried a workaround using IMAP connector, but that errors out possibly due to our use of Okta for authentication.

New to this job so any tips or ideas where I can start looking would be greatly appreciated.

Internal users to the company have different kinds of user names in Outlook and filtering by email address usually do not work. This is a known issue and has been like that for a while now. It's not so much an issue with PAD, as it is with the way Outlook returns those email addresses.

I would suggest not using an email address on the "From" filter, and preferably use some other filters if possible. Then loop through the retrieved emails and only process those that are relevant to you.

Alternatively, add a sub-folder to your inbox and make a rule in Outlook to move those emails to the sub-folder automatically. Then use PAD to retrieve unread emails from the sub-folder. This will also do the trick, without the need to use a filter on the "From" field in PAD.
