Register multiple approvers outcome in different sp columns

Hi guys,

I have a question on a flow I’m building based on the approval flow.

I have a form that triggers an approval flow that, based on the value, send the request to different organisational levels. The number of approvers is not fixed, sometimes can be only 1 or 2 depending from the economics.

The approvers are inserted in a string array (user1@abc.com; user2@abc.com).

the share point list has 4 columns: approver 1 name, approver 1 outcome, approver 2 name, approver 2 outcome (obviously if the approval is made only by one colleague approver 2 name is blank)

what I would like to understand if is possible to manage the process with the node “start and wait for approval” - everyone must approve and update the sp list every time we have an update on it.
for example, I have two approvers, approver 1 approve and the outcome is registered on sp while outcome 2 is still Blank/pending

many thanks

The wait for an approval action does not return the results of the approval until everyone has completed their approval. What you want to do then is not that simple. I think Reza Dorrani has a method of getting the status of multiple approvers in one of his YouTube videos at Flow Approvals Cookbook - YouTube. Look at the ones that reference approval history. I've struggled with attempting some of them, so I hope you have better luck.

Note: I am not positive he has a solution specific to what you are asking. What you want to do will require premium actions and querying the approvals tables in Dataverse. You may also want to look into the Approvals Center feature: Approvals Center. I don't know if that will give you what you need either. We looked at it, but decided not to implement it, but I cannot remember why. I think it was because it didn't allow as much flexibility as there is on a flow basis.
