Can't insert anything in my gallery

Hello!

I am trying to put something in my gallery like a label or a circle but I can't seem to do it. Whenever I select the Gallery and insert something, it does not go in it. How can I fix this? It just goes above the gallery

    Select any of the two options in the screenshot before you insert the control:
