No JavaScript Access to Sign-in

Good evening respected recipient.

For the past 2 days, I cannot sign-in to the Microsoft Power Automate Desktop application where I repeatedly get the following error message: "Microsoft account requires JavaScript to sign in. This web browser either does not support JavaScript, or scripts are being blocked. To find out whether your browser supports JavaScript, or to allow scripts, see the browser's online help." I checked all of the Microsoft Edge (primary and default browser; 108.0.1462.54 browser version) settings for JavaScript and they are enabled. I also took a look at my security settings and there has been no change in it as well (includes the firewall and Windows Security settings). The image pasted shows me the error message to sign into Power Automate Desktop. I am running Windows 11 22623.1037 OS build, and has Windows 11 Home model installed.

I would highly appreciate if someone could help me with the sign-in issue!

Regards,

SV

You could try a hard reload of the website, with ctrl + F5 both buttons pressed. Maybe you have luck and it"s just the cache.

    Good evening.

Thank you very much for the response.

I tried using the CTRL+5 method for hard reload, however, it is still not loading up and shows me the same message. Do you have any other methods that I could try?

Thanks for the help once again!

    Regards,

    SV

Edge is basically Chrome with own settigns.

Go to "internet options" -> "security" and ensure all Microsoft related sites are inzone that allows scriping, like Trusted Sites

    Good afternoon.

I tried a similar method from what you said (since I did not find anything that said "Internet Options"). I went to Edge Settings -> Privacy, search and services -> Manage enhanced security for sites -> Added 'https://powerautomate.microsoft.com/en-us/' to the list of "Never use enhanced security for these sites" -> reloaded power automate. This still did not work.

Additionally, I also checked the "Application Link" settings under Cookies and site permissions -> Application links. It is turned on by default from the Edge and Windows Security settings. I reloaded the application again, but all in vain. I also reinstalled the whole application from the beginning but still see the same error message.

Could you suggest any other idea to overcome this issue?

Thank you very much once again for helping till here! Worth the effort.

    Regards,

    SV

    Hi,

im not sure if your issure is still current, but I might have a solution. There was a previous discussion about the Internet Options, but not about the relevant section.
    1. Open the Control Panel and type "Internet Options" into the search.
    2. Go to the "Security" tab

    3. Click on the "Custom level" button.
    4. In the "Security Settings" window, scroll down to the "Scripting" section.
    5. Under "Scripting", ensure that the settings (like "Active Scripting") are set to at least "Prompt" or "Enable".

    6. Reboot your System.

The checkboxes must be set to "Prompt" at least.
Note: Settings in to "Prompt" will notify you every time a script wants to run, allowing you to decide whether to run it or not. You might need to confirm with "Yes" multiple times for the same window.

    Good morning!

Thanks for checking in! I just tried that, and yes! It is working now! I checked the box for scripting from internet options and I totally forgot that part of the security settings in Internet Options, I had it set to high level with some exceptions and part of the high level was that scripting was turned off.

This helps a lot CanK! Thank you so much for your help, and thanks to everyone who helped me and other people who had this kind of problem!

    Regards,

    SV
