Bing Map not showing for other users

I created this app like the "Site Inspection" sample app,

However when I share to other users , they cannot see the map . Only my account can see it.

Is this because the Bing Key Map is a basic one?

    Hello @luuminhvuong93

    I don't think it is the Bing Maps Key.

    Can you share the formula that you are using to create the URL for map image?

    For example, in the Site Inspection sample app, one image control might have its Image property set to ...

    "http://dev.virtualearth.net/REST/V1/Imagery/Map/Road/" & Concatenate(Gallery3.Selected.Address," ",Gallery3.Selected.City," ",Gallery3.Selected.State) & "?key=<bing_maps_key>"

    Hi @sephilli

    Thanks for replying to my question.

    Below is the photo of what I did . The map shows perfectly when I open on my phone (iPhone 7 by the way)

     I shared this app to my team member, every thing works fine except for the map image , which does not show ever.

    He is using the

    The app required lat and long to be recorded into sharepoint list, so he submit the record and I can see that the location is still working fine because the column geocodes were not blank.

    I may have been initially wrong.

    Interestingly, using your api key, I entered....

    https://dev.virtualearth.net/REST/V1/Imagery/Map/Road/47.619048,-122.35384/15?mapSize=596,252&pp=47.619048,-122.35384;&key=AuteB9UgKL910FC9_uCXByM6y6jt5KD4-8Pcsx4js1vQdzj-8gI9T0PbjpfQ6i1k

    ....into chrome and got a 401 Error for Invalid Credentials. (If I used a key in a sample powerapp, the image was rendered)

    If you enter the url with your key into chrome in Incognito mode, will you see the image?

    By chance, what application type did you use to create the Bing Key? As outlined here, Dev/Test can only be used by "Applications used by authenticated enterprise users (employees or agents of the enterprise) over a private network."

    It may be worthwhile to create a new key with an application type Website or Other Public Mobile App.

    Hi @sephilli

    Basically I tried 2 keys.

    • 1st is " Education "
    • 2nd is " Basic / Other Public Mobile App

    Both of them worked on my phone & email account. But not on my teammate's

    @sephilli

    BTW I tried your link and paste into Chrome. It got an error because you typed the wrong key.

    I copy and pasted my key bing map again and it is working normally

    Hi @luuminhvuong93,

    Is this happening to all your users that has been shared with this app? Would you tell them to try with other devices? Also, notice them to click on Allow the Location when they open the app.

    Regards,

    Mona

    Hi @v-monli-msft

    I tried on another Iphone and it does not work at all. No image was shown.

    Only on my phone 😞

    @v-monli-msft

    The location was allowed . Using another member account, on the column data I still get the Latitude and Longitude shown just not the bing map image .

    I tested on many people

    On someone's device that is NOT working, can you please post a session ID? To get one on mobile, open the app and try to get the missing image(s), exit the app, go to the hamburger menu at the top left, click session details, and copy the ID in the popup dialog.

    I can look at that to possibly help diagnose this further.

    Also in the meantime, trying to think outside the box, this may be a credentials issue that has nothing to do with bing maps. So with that in mind, the other users have read-write access to the Sharepoint accounts you were mentioning? Maybe there is some other feature in your app that no one but you has access to?

    @sephilli

    Thanks for helping with this case,

    I would like to further clarify this:

    - I created a sharepoint list and create an app with Powerapps

    - then I added the other team members into this sharepoint and share this app access

    -all of them (5 people) could not see any Map Image. Only works on my account.

    -The location is always allowed. The app captured the latitude and longitude in the sharepoint column data.

    -> Not sure what could block them from seeing the bing map?

    This is a very simple app, 90% like the "Site Inspection".

    Below is the session ID from the phone of my member. (using Samsung Galaxy Note 😎
