Hi All

Sorry in advance for the long post as its going to take some explanation.

I have built an app that at one point has two galleries on a page. One looks at a list of competencies (its an appraisal app) the other looks at a list of criteria and is currently filtered based on the selected competency from the other gallery

I had expected the user to do the whole appraisal in one go, it seems that may not be the case.

As a user goes through they click the Save icon once they have selected the competency on the left and their 'choice' on the right. They then select another competency / choice and click Save and keep going.

What I need to do is find a way of getting the main choices gallery to not only filter based on the competency selected but to also look at the main list that holds the users submissions to check if they have already submitted that competency and if they have show their selection and then use a patch on the save to update the already save choice.

I am seriously struggling to find a way to do this.

Any help would be appreciated
