Hello Guys,

I'm having a requirement to send a reminder email after 1 year/2 years to the owner of the document to review the document.

Just a reminder email not an approval.

Is it possible using the flow ?  i saw the limitations says up to 30 days only but not sure if there is any work around

please advise

    @skolisetti

Are you using a sharepoint list?

If Yes i suggest adding a new field Called Notification Date and it can be set initially to current date , then you create a recurrence flow that runs daily with Filter Query Notification Date eq UTCNow() , then it retrieves the items that requires email then send email and update Notification Date to Next year ...

    Hi @skolisetti ,

You could take a try to create the flow run everyday to check the created date of files in the library, and if the created date is one year before the current date, send the remind email.

    Best Regards,

    I'm using a SharePoint Library.

Can you send me a screen shot or example for reference?

Alice can you share an example or screen shot.

    PFA doc lib column views.

    Requirement:

    • Update the "Released date" column with today's date and then calculate the review date based on the released date for 1 year and send a reminder email to the owner before 14 days to the review date.
    • And send the second reminder email 10 days to the review date and update the column "Overdue" as Yes

    Hi @skolisetti ,

Sorry for you need to clarify how would you trigger the flow?

Does the list has only one item? Or the flow would only check for the special item or all items in the list?

And do you want the one flow would trigger to update the item? and the another flow would trigger everyday for check the date and send the reminder?

    Best Regards,

    Alice

Alice this is a library. when a document is copied to this library with an option as Ex: Annual, Every2years

The "Review date column" should get added with 1 year based on the current date. And then send a reminder email to the owner after 1 year to review the document.

But if i use recurrence function i believe the recurrence supports upto 530 days ? if i need review more than 530 days will that work ?

    Hi @skolisetti

Sorry for the requirement couldn't be achieved if you want to trigger the flow when a file is created in the library.
