Adding and Updating Outlook Events to a Sharepoint Calendar by Category

Hello!

I'm trying to create a Sharepoint Calendar that shows all of the external events to my Team. I don't want to enter events twice (once in Outlook and second in the Sharepoint calendar), so I am planning on assigning every event with a category called 'Webinars'.

I've written a successful flow to add all existing Outlook events with that category to the Sharepoint Calendar, but I can't crack updating them or creating new ones based on whether I add, modify, or delete events. I can't just keep running the successful one, because it will create doubles, plus it won't delete events I cancel.

Hopefully you can see the screen shot ok.

Any help would be wonderful!

    Hi @KNSBrown,

The requirement wouldn't easy to be achieved, the link below could be your reference and you could follow the second part:

    Best Regards,

    Alice-

Thanks for the reference! I'm just thinking, though, that this won't pick up new events or deleted events, right? Or are we effectively saying there needs to be three separate flows?

    Thanks!

    Hi @KNSBrown ,

You only need to create one flow if you use the trigger "When an event is added, updated or deleted", and you could add switch case for each Action Type.

    Best Regards,

    Alice

    @v-alzhan-msft Alice,

I found another of your posts that has made me try it differently. https://powerusers.microsoft.com/t5/Building-Flows/Office-365-added-updated-and-deleted-calendar-flow/td-p/175825

In my case, I'm looking to sync a sharepoint calendar (list) instead of Outlook.com.

I've tried something else, but interestingly, I can't get the Test to trigger. Even when I update / add new calendar items right after the I trigger the flow.

Does it matter which trigger is used (V2 vs. V3?)

Hi, can you share how you create adding the new events to SharePoint calendar?
