If you have made any changes to thee flow and saved them in 2.26 you wont be able to go back.

Code written in Power Automate Desktop version - 2.12.171.21216 and due to some reason it is modified in version 2.27

Now, opening it in 2.12 version again, says Incompatibility Issues, not allowing to open it back it old version.

Can someone please guide on how to open code in the older version as it is very huge code and need to open in old version itself. It will be very difficult to write it again. Please advise on any possible solutions.

Backward compatibility is definitely not possible in a vast majority of the softwares.

What are you exactly trying to do in 2.12 that you are not able to do in 2.27?

Obtaining older versions of Power Automate Desktop (PAD) can be challenging, as Microsoft primarily offers the latest version for download. However, here are some approaches you can consider:

    1.

Contact Microsoft Support: If you have a paid license, reaching out to Microsoft Support is a reliable method. Users have reported success in obtaining previous PAD installers through this channel. You can access support via the official Power Automate Support page. powerusers.microsoft.com

    2.

Community Forums: Engaging with the Power Automate Community can be beneficial. Members sometimes share links to older versions or offer guidance on where to find them. For instance, discussions on installing older versions have taken place in threads like this one. powerusers.microsoft.com+2powerusers.microsoft.com+2powerusers.microsoft.com+2

    3.

Third-Party Repositories: Some developers maintain archives of previous PAD versions. For example, there's a GitHub repository that contains an archive of old PAD versions. While these can be helpful, exercise caution:Reddit+1GitHub+1GitHub

      •

Verify Authenticity: Ensure the software is legitimate and hasn't been tampered with.

      •

Check Licensing Terms: Downloading from unofficial sources might violate Microsoft's terms of service.

      •

Security Risks: There's an inherent risk of malware or other security issues when downloading software from unofficial channels.

      •

    4.

Uptodown Archive: The website Uptodown lists older versions of Power Automate for Windows. However, as with any third-party source, ensure you verify the authenticity and integrity of the files before installation. power-automate.en.uptodown.com

    5.

    Important Considerations:

    •

Compatibility: Older versions may not support newer features or might have compatibility issues with current systems.

    •

Security: Previous versions might lack the latest security patches, making them more vulnerable.

    •

Support Limitations: Microsoft's support for older versions may be limited or unavailable.

    •

Before proceeding, assess whether reverting to an older version is essential or if the current version's issues can be addressed through patches or configurations. Always prioritize official channels to ensure software integrity and compliance with licensing agreements.
