Changing Flow Owners and Connection Sharing

I need to transfer ownership of a Power Automate solution that includes mainly connection references and cloud flows. It uses connections like Sharepoint, Teams, Outlook and SQL Server (on-prem).  What are the best practice steps for changing without risking access to my mailbox, etc since all connection references are using my connection credentials. When I tried sharing (making a co-owner) I get a message stating that the new co-owner will have access to my profile, and be able to the read, update and delete emails, send on my behalf etc. Obviously not something I want to do.

So, when I make a new user the owner, how can I guarantee the connection references use their connection credentials and not mine. Do I delete my connection and force the new owner to create the same connections change the connection reference to use theirs?

Thanks!

Thanks for the response, but I need this to be assigned to a human user, not a service principal. And there is no desire to add the additional per process licensing required for the solution to run under a service principal.

    Thanks

Alright, I understand the concern. One way to circumvent the licensing requirement is by utilizing an admin account, treating it essentially as a regular user account, and designating it as the owner of the flows. By logging in with this admin account, you can create a new connection (or a connection reference) and subsequently delete the connections that were created.

When you share a flow with someone else, the connections associated with it are also shared. This is where employing a service principal comes in handy and is recommended.
