Help Needed with Power Automate Flow for Processing Job Application Emails

Description:
I'm working on a Power Automate flow to generate one automatic email to be sent to from job applicants if this is the only time that they have applied in the last 90 days. The goal is to streamline the process by checking if we've received an email from the same address within the last 90 days and respond accordingly. Here's what I've done so far and the issue I'm facing:

Flow Overview:

  1. Trigger: The flow starts when an email is received in the shared mailbox.

  2. Condition: It checks if an email from the same address has been received in the last 90 days.

  3. Actions:

    • If an email from the same address was received within the last 90 days, the flow ends.

    • If no email from the same address was received within the last 90 days, the flow sends an autoresponder email with next steps for the applicant and logs the email in a SharePoint list.

  4.

Issue:
The flow is creating an infinite loop, resulting in hundreds of triggers. I suspect the problem lies in the conditions or the email sending action from the shared mailbox.

Request:
I need help to:

  1. Confirm if my approach is correct.

  2. Identify and fix the issue causing the infinite loop.

  3.

Below is what I have done below and invite your feedback on what I could do differently.

I don't see anything in your flow that would cause an infinite loop. The only thing I can see that would cause an infinite loop would be if you are testing it with the e-mail account that you are using in the trigger of the flow.

I can't thank you enough for taking the time to review my flow. I am stumped. I couldn't figure out why 200+ emails were sent to me in error. I restructured the flow and tried it again. This time, it wouldn't trigger and execute the two simple core actions.

    Attached is the updated flow.

Please let me know what feedback you have.
