SharePoint List Customize Forms to Canvas App

Good afternoon - I have a SharePoint List, I wanted to create a PowerApp Form using the list.  I thought I was creating a Canvas Power App; however, it looks as though. I might have just created a customized form for my List.  While in my List I clicked on Integrate >> Power Apps >> Customize Forms.  Now that I have the "App" completed I wanted to share it with my organization so other could fill the form out and update my list.

When I publish the form, I am only able to use it for the SharePoint List not as a stand-alone form.

Is there any way to move this over to a Canvas App or do I need to start over?  Or is this a rookie mistake that I will learn from and never do again.

Thank you for any help you can provide.

Rodger

    Hey There,

Yes this is customised Sharepoint form not a canvas app. although the interface looks similar when developing.

There are some ways you can share the form to make it appear like the app, but this will still be within Sharepoint.
You can use the full URL to your list e.g your_domain/sites/your_site/Lists/your_list/NewForm.aspx

This will launch the form as a standalone instead of being positioned within the list along the left.

Alternatively you can go to power apps and create canvas app from an existing source, by choosing start with data and selecting your list, which will do a lot of the heavy lifting for you in terms of creating an app.

    asdasdasdasdasd,

Thank you so much that is what I was thinking but was hopeful there was something that could be done.  It sounds like I can let the system do the heavy lifting, but I will need to do some work.  For now to test and have other use the form I can use the NewForm.aspx method.

    Thank you again.

Using the NewForm.aspx link, you can create a JSON button in a hyperlink column using tutorial from SharePoint Dashboards. The free account has a Column-Button/Hyperlink template. https://sharepointdashboards.com/LITE
