No access to connector

Hi all,

 

I have a simple custom connector for Business Central (using standard is no option).

The connector is nothing extraordinary but since a couple months I cannot get the connection going.

At first I got errors about redirect URL's and fixed it by adding them to the azure app registration. Now I am not even getting errors.

    I'm not really sure what might do this, but I can give you a list of things I would check if it were me:
    • Check the App Reg secret to make sure it has not changed or expired
    • Check the App Reg API Permissions to make sure they have not changed and are still adequate to the API operation
    • Check the User Permissions (assuming you are using Delegated API Permissions for your App Reg) to make sure the calling user has appropriate rights
    • Open the Custom Connector and go to the Test tab, then fire a test manually using your own Connection profile.
    Of course, none of these are clear answers to your issue, but they are common failure points in custom connectors and therefore worth checking. With luck, one of these leads you to a cause.

    Oh, one more thing to check: If your Custom Connector is using code injection, make sure to test that part specifically by opening up the code tab and saving it. It is possible there is a failure there.
