Knowledge from Videos and Viva Engage

Hello dear community,

I am in the process of creating a helpdesk bot and I have 2 problems where I am stuck.

1st Problem: Videos from SharePoint/Stream
We have some videos in SharePoint/Stream and unfortunately they are not found by the bot. It can't even find the titles. We would like it to search the transcript for Stream and link to the appropriate place in the video. But I would be happy if it could find the title :D

2nd problem: Content from Viva Engage
We use a community in Viva engage for IT questions. I would like to connect this community. Unfortunately, the URL has too many levels and I can only use this URL: https://engage.cloud.microsoft/main/. Unfortunately, I don't get any results back here. Can someone tell me if or how to connect Viva Engage?
Many thanks in advance and best regards
Dorian

    Hi  ,

    1.
Copilot do not natively read or search through video transcripts in Microsoft Stream. You could export the transcripts and upload them as separate files in SharePoint or as part of the knowledge base. This would allow the bot to search the transcripts in text form.
You can explore the possibilities using Microsoft Graph API to programmatically extract video titles or transcripts from Stream, and then make them accessible to the bot.

    2.
I think you can again Leverage the Microsoft Graph API for Viva Engage to connect directly to the community and retrieve content. If not, can u explore to use the Yammer REST API, which allows fetching community posts, messages, and files.
If you're looking for a no-code/low-code solution and don't want to deal with APIs, you can use Power Automate to integrate Viva Engage with your Copilot bot.

Unfortunately i cannot find any documentations that can help you, but exploring on how to Graph API might help.

    Thanks
