Issue with Saving Email Attachments in Power Automate – File Gets Corrupted

Hi everyone, I'm experiencing an issue with a Power Automate flow that receives emails and saves the attached Excel file to a folder. The flow runs successfully and even works fine when using dynamic content, but the saved file always ends up corrupted. When I try to open it in Excel, I get an error saying the file format or extension is not valid.
I’ve tried using Power Automate templates as well, but the result is the same: the file uploads, but it’s unreadable. Has anyone else encountered this issue or found a workaround?

We need more details to help you! Please share a screenshot of your flow, showing the configured actions. If there’s an error, tell us which action failed and include the error message. Be careful not to include any sensitive or personal information. This will help us understand the issue and provide a solution faster. Thank you!

When the flow saves the attached Excel file to the folder, check that the filename includes the file extension:  filename.xlsx. And check that the correct extension was used. Are you accidentally saving, say a word document, as an Excel file? Are you saving all attachments from the Outlook message as Excel files?

I had the same issue. The solution was to set the "Include Attachments" parameter to "Yes" in the "When a new email arrives (V3)" trigger.

You may also have to go through each subsequent step and reset the attachment Id and file content inputs to fully correct the issue.
