Get an Item - Failed

Hello! I'm creating a flow in Power Automate to get approval for a document which was created through a Microsoft List. The flow consists of the following steps:

  1. A file is selected in the SharePoint library (trigger).
  2. The flow retrieves the file's properties using the 'Get file properties' action.
  3. An approval request is sent using the 'Start and wait for an approval' action.
  4. The 'Link to item' dynamic content is included in the approval request to allow the approver to access the file.

The issue is that when the approver clicks the link provided in the approval email, the document appears empty (however, the name of the document is correct, so it chooses the correct one!). However, when I click on the document, it appears correctly filled out.

I suspect it could be related to how the 'Link to item' dynamic content is generated or possible permission settings, but I’m not sure. How can I fix this flow so that the approver can open the document and view it without issues?

Any help would be appreciated!

    Hi

    1. Please share the flow with inputs.outputs and show a run with the issue
    2. can you verify that the person can Manually go to SharePoint folder and open it, to verify permissions

    3. Please again share the actual Approval Action both in run and design so we can validate what you put there and what it pointed too.

Also, you may want to do the following

    1. Get the File
    2. Save It.
    3. Do a Wait Action for 3-10 minutes,
    4. Now do your approval. Just to make sure its not locked, as that can cause what you said.
