Hello Microsoft community,
I am a potential new user of Power Automate and I have been using WinAutomation for several years. With the server platform upgrade approaching, I am considering replacing our existing automations and exploring the direction WinAutomation took under Microsoft's Power platform.
In our current setup, we heavily rely on WinAutomation to monitor folders for incoming files, typically via EDI or user file saves. Each folder has an associated automation that triggers when a file arrives. For example, if a file arrives in John's folder, an automation called "John" wakes up and executes the designated task. We have numerous file monitors and several time-based triggers for our tasks.
These tasks involve various actions, such as editing the text inside a file, running an executable, copying files to different locations, sending email copies, extracting zip files and printing their contents, or securely transferring files via SFTP.
My question is: Can Power Automate perform these actions? If so, which version or license would I need to run Power Automate on my server without any user being involved to trigger or action these?
Thank you in advance for your assistance. I appreciate any guidance you can provide on the capabilities of Power Automate and the appropriate licensing option for my requirements.
