Action 'Run_a_flow_built_with_Power_Automate_for_desktop' failed

Hello,

I have a flow created in Power Automate Desktop containing 216 actions, and I wish to schedule this via Power Automate Cloud.

During the scheduled run time, sometimes the flow will fail with BadRequest and a statusCode of 400.

If I run the flow in Desktop it will tell me the action which the flow failed on, but for Cloud it returns the following:

I am required to run the flows unattended but if one fails, how would I know which action (from the message above) this actually failed on?

It does suggest it's on a 'Focus' action but my flow has 11 different "focus" actions.

In the above instance I know it failed at action 213 which is a "Focus window" action for a 3rd party application as I watched the flow run in attended mode, but how would I know when the flows are run unattended?

Thanks in advance.

Mark

    Hi,

When you run a flow from a cloud flow, both the Cloud Flow run history and the Desktop Flow run history are created. If you search the Desktop Flows tab in the ‘My Flows’ section of the Power Automate Portal, you will see all the Desktop Flows. You can click on the Desktop Flow to view its run history, which will provide more information about where exactly it failed, action by action, and which actions worked or not. When it fails, it usually also adds a screenshot of the machine desktop at the exact moment it failed, which I think is very helpful.

Let me know if this works.
    Anthony.

    Hi AnthonyAmador,

I was just about to post to say I've managed to find what I was looking for. I knew there had to be something but I just couldn't find it.

It's exactly where you said it would be.

Thanks for taking the time to reply.

    Cheers, Mark
