Create Approval process with the possibility of clarification

Posted on by 98
Hi!
I create an approval workflow

But I only have two response options, Approve and Reject.
I want to be able to Clarify to ask the user who sent the approve process.
To see their responses to Clarifications and decide again, Approve or Reject.
Is it possible to make this a permanent process?
Is it possible to wrap it in a loop?

_____
After rebuild, I want to know, How to get Email replies to add their to Approval?

I decided to remove Send an email and replace it with another approval. Enter comments from this approval into a variable and add this variable to the first approval.

Generally, when recipient click Clarify and left questions as comments, this comments should attach in the body of the email and send to the person who create an approval. After he answers, take out the answers from this email and attach it to the approval and send it again to the recipient.
And repeat until the recipient presses approve or reject.

The point is that the flow must wait for an email with explanations to arrive.

And here is a difficulty for me, how to make a loop waiting for an answer to the questions that arise and then attach them to the approval.

Based on the revised image you posted, I think you would want your do until action to run until the outcome is not equal to clarify.

For your first Approval action use the Custom Responses Approval type. That way you can add an option for Clarify.  The Approver can then write what they want clarified in the Comments.  You can use a Condition to send those Comments to the original Author for clarification then restart the flow.

You just need to choose the approval type Custom Responses instead. You can then enter whatever options you want.

I am sure you could wrap it in a loop somehow. We use Nintex Forms for customizing SharePoint lists. If you're using Power Apps or the standard SharePoint list form, it would be difficult to do it how I do because of the options that Nintex allows with rules in the form.

When additional information is needed, my flow ends. I have another flow that triggers when the changes/information has been provided which essentially starts the approval over again.
