I have a flow that is being annoying.

What I want to be able to do is know when someone has changed a sharepoint list field from any status (new, in progress, on hold) to "complete".

Right now I am using a "When an item is changed or modified"... but is thinks this trigger is going off every 15 seconds!! even when nothing I'm doing manually is changing things??

So it is constantly evalating the flow.

But problem is when I do change from say "New" Status to "Complete" it is not recognizing this??

See flow below:

I dont want any false positives so I am doing my conditions on it not already being complete and not being new with no previous setting.

Thoughts?

Terry

    Hi @Mattw112IG,

Which Flow Plan are you using?

You mentioned that “it thinks this trigger is going off every 15 seconds”, do you mean the Checks of its runs?

Could you share more details on “Previous” column? Is it storing previous value of the status?

From the doc on Flow Plans, the maximum flow frequency is different depends on your Flow Plans, you may need to wait for a few minutes for a fun:

    https://preview.flow.microsoft.com/en-us/pricing/

Further, Checks will check regularly to see if there are any actions on the data source:

Btw, I have made a flow likes below, whenever an item is created or modified, once the condition meets, a notification will be send out.

    Best regards,

    Mabel

No it runs every 15 seconds as if there's a change, when there's not.

    Hi @Mattw112IG ,

Could you share a screenshot on “it runs every 15 seconds as if there’s a change”?

Will the flow be triggered and move on to the following actions?

Please share more details for better understanding.

    Best regards,

    Mabel

I ended up abandoning this and rewriting it a different way.

The 15 seconds was based off the emails flooding my inbox every 15 seconds says there was a change whent here wasn't.

I think what was going on was I also have some SharePoint workflows running on the list as well, and I think those were throwing false positives on changes...

    Thanks,

    Terry

    Hi @Mattw112IG ,

    Thanks for updating.

Have you Turned off the flows that will trigger this specific flow if there are any?

    Best regards,

    Mabel

    Hi @Mattw112IG ,

    Does the issue still exist?

Please close this case if it is ok now.

    Best regards,

    Mabel
