Urgent: Need help in creating a flow when an excel cell is modified

Hi Team,

Greetings of the day!

Requirement: When an excel cell is modified, I want to get an notification mentioning which cell is modified and by whom.

Doing: My excel file is in online One Drive. Right now I can only see one trigger "For a selected row" present in the PA. But, my requirement is to create automated flow to get notification whenever any cell is modified by anyone.

Also, my excel file is having a lot of data around 400 columns.

Request you to please help me on this.

Hi @sskamalapurkar

Currently there is no trigger in Power Automate for when an excel row is modified. For triggering a flow when a column is modified, you may use SharePoint or Dataverse as a data source.

Hi @sskamalapurkar ,

I recommend the following flow. You will get your notification and then simply open up the workbook and click on Review > Show Changes

So you will get notified when ANYONE makes any changes to any cell AND you can immediately go the sheet and see what, who, and when.

Thank you for your reply.

But, suppose there are 10 changes in my file, that time 10 notification emails will be triggered. Then how to identify, for what change, the notification have come.
Also, in above excel image, the "Show Changes" button will be showing latest or all the changes. If it is showing all the changes, then how to identify for which email what all changes are done.

My requirement is, while sending an email, I want to send the location of the changed cell, the data they have changed and by whom it was changed.

Request you to please help me out.
