Hello

My SharePoint List has a column "Created" with the right Dateformat german.

As soon as I include this field in a Email created by the Power Automate the Dateformat is english instead of german.

Do you have a solution.

Thank you

Heinrichxx

    Hi @Heinrichxx ,

You can use the expression formatDateTime(value'dd-MM-yyyy').

In your 'Send email' action, when you select the dynamic content, change it to 'Expressions' and paste the method above.  Change the 'value' for the dynamic content of the date that you want to format. Also, you can change the separators ('-') by any other symbol.

If you find any trouble to implement this expression, let me know and I help you!

    Hi
    Thank you for your support.

There is an additional feature "Format date by examples"
What do you think about that. The problem also was that there was a conversion the time was 2 hours earlier than in the list.

Date and Time in the List: 04.07.2023 08:21

Date and Time in the Mail send from Power Automate: 2023-07-04T06:21:21Z

    Have a great day

Time zones are the programmer's natural enemy 😉

Sharepoint displays date values according to it's local settings (format and time zone).

In the flow it's always ISO 8601 and UTF.

    Hello Chriddle
    Yes you are right 🙂
    How can I change this.
Is it possible to change from ISO/UTF to local time?
    Regards
    Heinrichxx

You can use the action "Convert time zone" or use the function convertTimeZone() in an expression
