How to get the group ID

Hi everyone
I have not been able to find the solution, even though it appears to me this has been asked before.

How do I retrieve the Group ID in Powerautomate for the action Create a task in planner. I need first to get the Group ID before I can populate the different plans and then create the task.

Thanks to help me. In the new URL from Microsoft, I do not see the group ID.

Regards
jaweed

It should appear in the drop-down:
If you are using the new designer, switch to the old designer to see if that resolves your issue.

If you see some options in the drop-down but not the one you need to use, are you sure you have the correct permissions?

If you have the correct permissions, you don't see the group in the drop-down and you need to use the custom value option, the easiest way to get the group ID is through https://portal.azure.com/. Enter the display name of the group in the search box and press enter. If you see it populate under Microsoft Entra ID click on the group name:

The Object ID is the group ID. Note, you'll need to have been granted the necessary permissions to do this, which is a minimum of read permissions on Entra ID.

If you want to do this with Power Automate, use the List groups action and filter rows on displayName eq 'The Display Name of the Group'

You can parse the JSON from the output of this action, which includes the group ID.
