Hello, I have a small test dataset:

Werner_Otto_4-1627032974496.png

I want to use power automate, to loop through the emails, And send them a custom email using their name and email.
However when I run my flow I get this error:

Werner_Otto_1-1627032066222.png

To my understanding this means the data object power bi is sending through is "Null", or basically empty.
My flow:

My visual has the data linked:

Yet it seems that the data is not being pushed through?
I can however push through my user details that pressed the button.

When i check the input schema for the Power BI button press i notice this:

If these are the empty input parameter's, how do I go about to finding the problem to parse the data to my flow?

Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you for your time.

@Werner_Otto- just to be sure, you've published your report to https://app.powerbi.com? Pretty sure you need Power BI Pro or better license to publish.

Hello @ChrisMendoza , yes thank you, that was the problem, once I uploaded the report to my workspace it could appropriately send the data through.

    Hi @Werner_Otto & @ChrisMendoza

I have a question about the Power Bi button discussed....It seems that it is delivering blank data for me, which result a similar NULL error messages when I tries to export the table to csv file.

Could the button only function properly without the table (Power BI) being published?

@y3wan Hard to tell as you're not giving much detail into what has led to this result. CoPilot gave three possibilities:

    1. Single Table Limitation: Currently, you can only run queries against Power BI that return a single table1. If you’re trying to get data from multiple tables, you might need to use two separate buttons, or find a way to encode your results (for example via CONCATENATEX) in Power BI and then decode them in Power Automate.
    2. Data Type Issues: If the data type of the metrics and columns is not defined (General), it could cause problems with the values that you are passing to the Power Automate object.
    3. Access and Permissions: If the flow is supposed to be triggered by different users, you need to share the flow in Power Automate with everyone that shall use it.

    Possibly one of those reasons?
