Post adaptive card and wait for a response to a Shared Channel Error

I am trying to create a "Post adaptive card and wait for a response" action which will post to a shared channel. I have created this with a composed adaptive card, and the card will appear correctly in the shared channel. However, when the response is actioned in the channel, I get an error message at the bottom of the card; "Something went wrong. Please try again.". There are no errors presented to the flow, it just continues to wait.

If I change this action to post the card to a normal channel, or 'chat with flow bot', or 'group chat' it works. Can anyone tell me if there are issues with this action and shared channels? FYI I am working in an Education tenancy.

The reason I want to carry out this action is that we ideally want multiple people to be able to respond to these cards but they won't all necessarily have access to the Team we want to post them to. Shared Channels seemed to be the ideal solution to this, because you cannot wait for a response to an adaptive card via email.

I have the same question (0)

    Hi @LukeBrunning

It seems there are some limitations in Shared channels, and that's probably the reason why adaptive cards don't work.  You can read those limitations here: Limits and specifications for Microsoft Teams - Microsoft Teams | Microsoft Learn

Probably adaptive cards use internally some of the technology used in Bots, connectors and message extensions.

    Hope that helps!

Ah thanks Ferran. That is disappointing, it was going to solve an issue for us. Oh well, back to the drawing board!

Hey, is there a workaround for this or is it still a limitation with Microsoft?
