JIRA Connector - Create a new issue (v3)

Hi there! I'm trying to create a flow to create a new issue in Jira each time a Microsoft Form is submitted. I'm using the "Create a new issue (v3)" connector.

On the Jira end, I've created a new issue type which only has one mandatory field (Description). My flow is failing with the error "you must specify a summary". I cannot change this on the Jira side - this is the title of the task created. I do not have an option to entry the title/"summary" in the Jira connector. Any ideas?

Thanks!

ao

    Hi @ao3

Since its a third party connector Microsoft won't support this. You need to contact Jira support team to get further help in this.

I have found something for you within the Jira Community about your issue:

Solved: Error: "Summary: You must specify a summary of the...

Automation for Jira error "You must specify a summary of the issue. (summary)"

    Please check if this helps.

If you have any questions or feedback, please let me know. Have a great day! 😊

Thanks for these links, SpongYe! It helped me understand the issue (I didn't have the 'Summary' field configured to show in Jira. Just a note - the Summary output needs to be defined in PowerAutomate but you can only do this via the New Designer view.
