Change status value from one SharePoint list to another

Hi Community,

I am trying to create a status change flow in which if status changes for one item for example ID:5 in list 1 then it will change the status in another list as well which is on the same ID.

I have created a flow but it is not working accurately and many of times, just working for ID=in other list.

List 1:

List 2:

Flow:

Output required:

For example, if I'll update the status for ID 5 in List 1 to assigned, then it will change the status to assigned as well in list 2 for same ID.

please help me, how can I sought this out.

Hi @garry9318

Give a try like this,

Here i have two lists, List1 and List2 when Status column is list1 is changed, it updates that to list2

See how i acheive the same via flow

Step 1: trigger the flow

Step 2: get changes occured in item after modification to determine which column values have changed

expression used to get previous version of item is :
sub(int(split(triggerOutputs()?['body/{VersionNumber}'],'.')?[0]),1)

Step 3: check the condition whether status column is changed or not from previous version like below

If it is changed, in yes branch, use update item to update the list like below

all the values entered here are from output of trigger used in flow

Can you also guide me on how I can match the status without looking for same ID number.

For example, if we have a column name computer name=1001 in list 1 and then we need to match the status as per the given computer name value in list 2.

List 1:

List 2:

Output required:

Status should copy irrespective of the ID number and should match the computer number for example 1001 and the it should copy the status based on the Asset number 1001 in list 2.

1001(List 1)=1001(List2)

Please can you guide me, how we can achieve this result.

Thank You for it @Nived_Nambiar , I am not sure on this but the computer name column in list 1 will have the same fields as in asset name in list 2 and we need to match it and update the status.

Any luck on this? I'm trying to do the same thing. I have two different lists with different IDs but both list have a column with the same ID. thanks!
