Issue when prompting in canvas app

Hello everyone,

I have a small issue with prompting while making a canvas app.

When i want to make a prompt in the fx bar to simply ask for changing a color, Copilot is nog generating code.

Is this a license issue, or am i doing something wrong?

hey @noelleon

does not work for me either, but i also have a copilot 365 license, maybe we need another one, idk.

did you check in the preview tab in the settings if you turned on the new Powerfx formula bar?

i did find this online:

Note: Comment generated Power Fx is being released as a preview feature with English only support, and the rollout will be gradual as capacity becomes available. This means that some users will be able to try out the feature and provide feedback, while the team works on ensuring there is a positive user experience for our global footprint of Power Apps makers.

maybe its not public preview and it does not work for everybody

Ik double checked the setting and it was certainly activated.

I hope that someone can tell me whats going on, or what i am doing wrong.

I think there is no doing wrong here haha just type //hdbdnfkkdjdhr anf it should worrk, at least from what i have seen.

My best Shot is that it is not in public preview now and only accessable to a few people or has it already worked for you?

This feature is still actively rolling out, so is not available in all tenants yet. The easiest way to determine if it is available in your tenant yet is to check for the "comment generated formulas" setting in the preview settings window. The Power Fx Formula bar setting is also a prerequisite, and gives you access to the formula explanation copilot too, but you'll have to wait until you see this additional setting before the comments functionality will work.
