Getting Flow to populate a Form using Excel data

Hi all,

I have a query about whether the below is possible:

I have a spreadsheet containing old records that employees have previously filled out. This also contains the email address of the contact. For example : emergency contact details.

Basically rather than sending a blank survey I need to send a survey through outlook to each individuals email address in the excel list, pre populated with their previous replies and they can check and ammend if neccessary.

Apologies if the ask isn't clear - but I just need to know how easy a task this is to set up in Flow - if possible.

Unfortunately, I am not aware of a way to pre-populate a survey created using Forms.  I do have another suggestion.

One way to attack your issue might be to import the spreadsheet into a new SharePoint list using "out of the box" SharePoint functionality.   Then, use Flow to loop through each item in the list and send an email to each individual - the email address should be a column in the list.  Include in the Email any infomation that you want from the list item.  Also, include a link to the list item so that the user can easily update their information.

Please let me know if the concept works for you and if you need an example.

Thank you so much Scott. I will have a meeting soon to discuss this and its good to be able to provide information on what is currently possible/alternatives.

Just one question (apologies, a really newbie to this):

When you say I can include a link to the list item - would this also be automated or would I have to do this manually?

If you could provide an example it would be very useful when I come to try this 🙂

@tickledpinkies the link to the list item can be included as part of the "Send an Email (V2)" action in your flow, you don't have to do it manually in the email.
