Created files not readable

I have created a Flow which save the files from incoming e-mails if they meet specific Criteria.

The flow works but the created files are not readable.

Although the file extensions (.pdf, .xlsx ...) are correct and Microsoft Excel and Adobe-Reader are installed.

The used objects for attachment name and attachment content are correct. I compared them with the ones in a template Flow.

Has anyone found a solution for this kind of problem?

    Hi @RalfM,

You have to first 'build' the file from the contentbytes, by saving it as a docx, and then using the one-drive convert a file to make it pdf, remember .pdf in the file name when you convert.

I had the same problem, but I changed my flow to save in sharepoint. After that I used get file content (sharepoint), passed it to onedrive(create file). The file that was created through this flow was now working fine without any problems. But the one created prior, the files where having the same problem you came across.

    Hi Heartholme,

the files already exist as e-mail attachment. The file type could be anything (PDF, Excel, Word ... )
You mentioned file type "docx" which means a Microsoft word file.

Could you please post a hardcopy from your "get file content activity" and "create file activity"?
I tried your suggestion but it did not work.

I once again compared the template Flow from Microsoft Website with my Flow.

Apparently it is exactly the same (see below) but the saved files are not readable.

    I am speechless.

In the meantime I have found the solution in another post in this community:

Solved: Re: Create file in SharePoint form attachment - Power Platform Community (microsoft.com)
