Desktop Power Automate launching "old" Outlook instead of "new" Outlook

I'm using Desktop Power Automate to create a flow to launch Outlook and compose an email. The flow is launching "old" Outlook instead of "new" Outlook. My org is running Microsoft Outlook Version 1.2024.1204.300 (Production).

How can I define the launch command to launch new Outlook?

Thank you!

According to this Learn page, Outlook actions, "Outlook automation actions don't support the new Outlook for Windows application." :(

I think that's because the new outlook does not support COM-based automation which the Power Automate Desktops actions use. Similarly you can't use scripts on the new Outlook but you can use them for the old one. The new Outlook is not just new design. Its build on a different architecture. So you won't be able to open the new outlook with PADs Outlook -actions.

To not use the old Outlook on PAD automations you need to have Premium license to get access to Office 365 Outlook -actions https://learn.microsoft.com/en-us/power-automate/desktop-flows/actions-reference/office365outlook

Then you don't need to open any outlook application but can just use the cloud connectors like with Power Automate Cloud flows.
