Posted on by 11

I built a new power app (clicked a link from Power BI -direct query mode with dataverse)

but this function PowerBIIntegration.Refresh() is missing I'm not sure why but i can use PowerBIIntegration.Data

The Issue detail is  'Refresh' is an unknown or unsupported function in namespace 'PowerBIIntegration'

My goal is to refresh power bi report visual each time we make change to dataverse using power app.

I have tried and created many different apps but still no luck? any help would be much appreciated!

    Hi @pbiapp_learner

This could be the reason why PowerBIIntegration.Refresh() is not available.

    Documentation says the following:

    Hi @pbiapp_learner

Have you created via make.powerapps.com or from the Power Apps visual in Power BI report.

Only then the PowerBIIntegration.Refresh() function will be available in the app.

If you have any questions or feedback, please let me know. Have a great day! 😊

I found the solution: always use Power BI online when creating Power App visual.

It seems the issue is with Power BI Desktop. If I use Power BI online and create using make.powerapps.com, the PowerBIIntegration.Refresh() is available. However, it's not available when creating in Power BI Desktop.
