Power Automate Desktop - Issues when writing Date&Time in Excel

<Process>

  1. Reading a Date&Time from a Excel File (As Text)
  2. Converting it into Date Format
  3. Assigning a variable to the Date
  4. Writing that date on excel Problem

So variable is assigned correctly as above(in date/time format)

But when it writes the value in excel it is written in Korean format, thus the excel does not recognize it as a date/time object.

Any way this can be fixed without changing my language settings?

I have the same question (0)

    Hi @mjlee9620 ,

    In excel use template file as set the format as per your required format and header also you can add it,

    Now launch the excel file write data and save file as different location.

    Select entire date column and select the required format.

    If that is not working then Make that whole column as Text format then it will work.

    You can try with both methods.

    Hi @mjlee9620 ,

    Split the date&time read from excel file by spaces. you will have a list post split.

    3/20/2024
    오후
    9:40:00

    Listitem[0] --> will be your date --> 3/20/2024

    Listitem[2] --> will be your time --> 9:40:00

    (Note:- if you got your solution you can mark as solution and gives kudos)

    Thanks & Regards

    Vishnu Reddy

    @mjlee9620

    I've noticed numerous instances where problems with date formatting occur because of the system's date format. Normally, Excel follows the system's date format for all dates.

    Hence, consider modifying your date format settings on your system accordingly. For example, if your system date appears like this Deenuji_4-1711083250844.png, adjust it to match how you want dates to be displayed in your Excel sheets like Deenuji_5-1711083339965.png.

    If the issue persists, you may want to consider using a macro script to address this issue. This technique has proven effective for many individuals thus far.

    Try using Convert date time to text and convert it to the text in the format that Excel would expect it. Then write that to Excel.
